Timbits U9 Players: Youth born in 2016 & 2017

  • If it's your player's first year of hockey or you recently moved to the TASA area, please review our New Members page.

Player/Goalie Evaluations: 1-3 one-hour sessions 

  • Typically, evaluations start in early October. 
  • Players need jerseys and socks for evaluations. If you need to borrow these, please email [email protected]
  • The evaluation dates will be communicated in mid-September

Teams: As per Hockey Nova Scotia, Timbits U9 has three divisions. Advancing, Intermediate, and Development

  • Players will be evaluated and assigned to levels based on skill and ability. 
  • All teams are co-ed
  • Head Coaches will be assigned post-evaluations 

 

Gear: Are you looking to buy hockey equipment for the first time? Here's what you need and (where it goes) 

 

Season Format:

  • October/November: Two practices per week 
  • December 1- One practice per week. One half-ice game per week. Half Ice Hockey Explained
  • February 1 - Full ice games begin. Teams can play up to 12 full ice games and a minimum of 4.

 

Tournaments: These fees are additional to registration and come from a team budget. All Timbits U9 games must be played in Nova Scotia.

 

Rules and Regulations: Outlined by Hockey Nova Scotia. Section 19 

 

Respect in Sport: This is a mandatory online course for Families new to hockey.
