The 24-25 Season was another great success and another step forward for TASA as an association. From the beginning of tryouts to the final puck drop our players worked hard and had a great time.
At TASA, we value player development and continue to invest in resources to push our players to the next level in their development. Our two Technical Directors, Kyle MacDonald and Goalie Director Ben Meisner have continued to prove why they are at the very top of their profession. Apart from the many development camps, they have also put on free clinics throughout the season. They have also spent time at individual team practices. And all of the players hard work is showing up on the ice with many Champions this year at TASA.
TASA also hosted the first “Come Try Hockey” which was a direct result of TASA winning the Kruger Big Assist. It was a huge success and in speaking with the on-ice coaches the kids absolutely loved it and all showed improvement throughout the year. TASA looks forward to another great Come Try Hockey year this season and for many more to come.
TASA also created a DEI committee during the season and are hard at work at making TASA an enjoyable place for everyone. I would very much like to see new players/coaches/managers/volunteers join our TASA family who may have initially thought that hockey wasn’t the sport for them. It is for everyone, and we will continue to get that message out.
TASA hosted 3 tournaments this season. The amount of volunteer hours that go into putting on an event like this is truly astounding. I would like to thank all of our volunteers for making all 3 a huge success and I continue to hear about how great the TASA tournaments were from other associations.
I look forward to another great season of hockey at TASA. We are welcoming some new board members this year, and I am eager to start planning for the 2025026 season. I hope to see you at our AGM.
Sincerely,
Sheldon MacKinnon
TASA President.
